Club Welcomes World War II Veteran Home

Arrowhead Republican Women honored our Veterans at the November meeting.

The Luke Air Force Base Honor Guard presented the Flag for the National Anthem. The young men from Luke Air Force Base and our club members were honored to meet our special guests, Dr. Thomas Hazzard and General Mick McGuire.

Dr. Hazard is a World War II Veteran who is 100 years old. He spoke to our club about his military service and how it changed his life. General Mick McGuire (Retired) was the former Commanding General of the Arizona National Guard. General McGuire and his wife, Debbie, spoke about their service and how it impacted their lives.

Our club members took home a toy soldier to place in a special spot in their homes to remind them to pray for our active military and our veterans. The centerpieces consisted of floral arrangements and photos of our members, associates, and their family members who have served in our Armed Forces.

Arrowhead Republican Women are proud and thankful for the brave men and women in our Armed Forces who protect our liberties and freedoms.
