Club Helps Fund Local Team's Red State Competitions
Butte Republican Women Federated of California felt the need to help out the local Chico State University livestock judging team with a donation to ensure the team will be able to compete freely in red state events. California legislation stipulates that no state money may be spent on travel or participation in red states, while blue state events are funded.
Club officers Caolyn Adkisson and Kirsten Southam presented the local Chico State University Judging Team with a $500 donation at the monthly luncheon meeting. The coach and three members from this championship team we on hand to receive the check. They were very appreciative of our generosity and willingness to help them!
