Club Plans Large Veterans Appreciation Event
Several members of Republican Women of Gregg County in Longview, Texas, have been meeting every two weeks planning a large event.
The community will come together to say thank you to our local veterans at our local community center. The event theme "Freedom Isn't Free" includes an indoor silent auction, live auction, catered BBQ lunch, high school art contest based on our theme, live music, vendor veteran service organizations, military vehicle show, and veteran speakers with a message of faith, family and freedom. The finale: a deserving woman veteran will be given Sarge, a goldendoodle service dog trained by a club member. Sarge will be going to his forever home to serve.
