Club Donates Stuffed Animals to Metro Police Department

Wanting to do more to help children of trauma, Battle Born Republican Women of Southern Nevada kicked off  a "Bear Hugs for Hurts" program.  

Members collected over 100 stuffed animals, and club member and Law Enforcement Liasion chair Christy McCampbell worked with Las Vegas Metro to arrange delievery of collected stuffed animals to Sheriff Kevin McMahill. The sheriff needed a hug and was overwhelmed by the club's generous donation. 

Club members will continue to supply more Bears Hugs as needed. Members making the delivery were President Jill Douglass, 1VP Michele Barnes, 2VP Brenda Lovato, Director of Communication Karen Kogelschatz, Director of Events Patty Witty, Secretary and 2nd Lady of Nevada Bernadette Anthony, and Law Enforcement Liasion Christy McCampbell.
