Club Supports Law Enforcement During Police Appreciation Month
Washington County Republican Women (UT) support and honor our local law enforcement officers. Since the "defund the police" movement of 2020, WCRW have shown support and appreciation for their law enforcement agencies.
The first year the club provided a bagel and fruit breakfast to its largest agency, the sheriff’s office. After the inaugural event, all agencies were included. The club has sent member-signed cards, presented a resolution of support, presented "We Back the Blue" banners, and partnered with local food establishments to provide every law enforcement officer a free treat such as a bagel and drink.
It is a small token that we can offer to show our appreciation to those who keep our communities safe daily.
