Club Supports Mother's Refuge with Supply Drive
High Noon Republican Women’s April meeting featured Shayla Baxter, Community Relations Coordinator for Mother’s Refuge, who shared many of the ways they support at-risk pregnant women and girls.
Mother's Refuge provides shelter, education and support to homeless pregnant women, empowering them to make successful life decisions for themselves and their babies. Their transitional living program continues to support them once their babies arrive.
Our club also hosted a baby shower, donating over 100 items to Mother’s Refuge. Items included diapers, wipes, clothing, and household essentials to support both moms and babies.
One of our club members, Betty Allen, was one of the founding partners of this great organization. This is the second year of our club hosting a supply drive, and this is an organization that many of our members continue to support.
