May 13 is the day we honor the sacrifice and resilience of our most vulnerable assets, the children of fallen patriots. These children, some who were born after the death of the parent, deal with this loss every day.

The role of a military spouse deserves recognition and heartfelt appreciation. When their husband or wife is deployed, the spouse is left stateside to keep things steady on the home front. 

At North Carolina FRW's Spring Board Meeting, Armed Services Chair Betsy Miller related the history of the American Legion National Poppy Day Program and distributed poppies to each member.

The Florida Federation of Republican Women's Spring Conference included many wonderful sessions and speakers, and a special visit from our Florida State Governor Ron DeSantis.

Victory in Europe Day commemorates the formal unconditional surrender of Germany to the Allied Forces at Reims, in northeastern France.  Although signed on May 7, 1945, the German forces on the Eastern front would continue to fight for another day.
