Twenty years ago, America endured the Day that Changed the World.  As we remember the heroes and the fallen from the 9-11 Terrorist Attacks, we were deeply honored to hear from an American hero and 9-11 survivor, Lt. General Richard "Tex" Brown who was, upon his retirement, the single most decorated member of the Air Force.

SDFRW Presents Each Soldier with Custom Brigade Pin, Personalized Thank You Cards

The South Dakota Federation of Republican Women was very honored to join Governor Kristi Noem, U.S. Senator John Thune, Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken, and 2,000 other South Dakotans welcoming home the 196th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade!  To show our appreciation, SDFRW President Penny Carpenter Sattgast and 1st Vice-President Catherine Barranco presented each soldier with a custom pin featuring the returning brigade’s unit patch as well as “thank you” cards expressing SDFRW members’ sincere gratitude.
