The Federal government needs to stop sending my/our tax dollars to schools who charge unbelievable tuition fees to attend their schools. Harvard has BILLIONS of dollars in endowments! It's a private school! If they want to operate a business let them do so on their own - just like the rest of us who run business's. We never got a dime from the Federal government but we sure did pay taxes to not only the Federal government but the State and the City!! As a business -theirs ostensibly to educate and prepare students for the work force - you charge for your service commensurate with your operating costs - the maintenance, the salaries etc! STOP GIVING MY HARD EARNED MONEY AWAY, especially to those who thing they are entitled to it!

This is definitely a bold and thought-provoking topic! Tax-exempt status for institutions like Harvard is often controversial, especially when large endowments are involved. Revoking it could spark wider debates on fairness and public funding. If you're curious how others feel or want more background, try a quick Harvard tax-exempt status controversy Google Search—you’ll find a range of perspectives to consider before casting your vote!

I think it's a GREAT idea to help new parents who are struggling; HOWEVER, no one should receive the proposed $5k bonus if they are already on any type of government assistance.
