That’s a very nefarious question. U s citizens have due process and are put into US prisons. Only illegal, non citizens and alien peoples are deported to their country of origin. I do not understand the question. Are you saying that US citizens are being sent to other country prisons? If so absolutely not!!!

If they are US citizens, I would think their due process would include incarceration in a facility in the US. If someone is here illegally, my preference would be to send them out of the US back to their own country of origin. If that is not possible, then send them anywhere that will take them as an inmate. I honestly do not feel sorry for those that come here illegally, and commit major crimes. They should not expect to be treated like a US citizen. They do not have the same rights.

I agree with both answers above - the question is misleading!!!!

No. My opinion is they should be sentenced and then incarcerated in US prisons. If US does not have enough prisons then ask for more funding and allocate funding and build more.

That is an interesting question- several variables.. Let’s say a U.S. Citizen who is a member of a foreign cartel that is now designated as a terrorist organization commits a succession of heinous acts after being let go and commits rape and murder, Jocelyn Nungary comes to mind. I just finished reading about another one- we all have. Since theoretical criminal works for a foreign terrorist org should he be sent to CECOT? Trump’s goal for GITMO is 30,000 cells-that’s an option.

I am a staunch Constitutionalist, which to me means when someone deprives another of their life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness then accountability ensues.

Interesting question!

This is a tough question! On one hand, it seems like a way to save taxpayer money. However, sending someone to a foreign prison raises serious concerns about human rights and the potential for inhumane treatment. It almost feels like a modern version of exiling someone to a distant island. Remember in Poptropica when we faced moral dilemmas? This feels similar. It’s a really complex issue with potentially devastating consequences for the individuals involved. We really need to ensure basic human rights are protected regardless of citizenship.
