As we begin 2023, America’s military forces remain vigilant and deployed around the world on Navy ships and foreign bases, projecting power and hindering a potential adversary from establishing a threatening military presence in the area. 

Currently the number of established bases are assessed to be around 800 in number, located in 177 countries and staffed by approximately 200,000 active troops with the potential to be “in harm's way” with little or no notice. Deployed forces continually train and exercise procedures to be prepared for any contingency.

Sometimes, spiritual intervention is called upon during the darkest hours of battle, as was reported during the Battle of Lepanto (1571) where prayer was a decisive element of the victory. Prayer continues to sustain and protect our military forces especially when deployed even today.
