U.S. Marine Corps Birthday: November 10

From the NFRW Armed Services Committee

On November 10, 1775, a Corps of Marines was created by a resolution of Continental Congress. Since that date thousands of men and women have borne the name "Marine." Their loved ones paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, dying in the line of duty while serving in the United States Armed Forces. We honor Gold Star mothers and families on the last Sunday in September; this year it is observed on September 25.
