IowaFRW congratulates fellow member Governor Kim Reynolds

The Iowa Federation of Republican Women (IowaFRW) was honored at the Inauguration of Governor Kim Reynolds and Lt. Governor Adam Gregg on Friday, Jan. 18, in Des Moines. Six IowaFRW members and associate members were commissioned as Honorary Iowa Colonels of the Militia and 10 IowaFRW members and associate members served on the Inaugural Committee and the House and Senate Inaugural Committee.

The IowaFRW members and associate members who served as Honorary Colonels are: IowaFRW President Gloria Mazza, Clive; The Honorable Mary Mosiman, Ames; Joni Scotter, Marion; Cody Hoefert, Rock Rapids; Jeff Kaufmann, Wilton; and The Honorable David Young, Van Meter.

The IowaFRW members and associate members named to the Inaugural Committee are: IowaFRW First Vice President Lori Leonard Reyman, Holstein; Barbara Hames-Bryant, Cedar Rapids; Vergene Donovan, Spirit Lake; Lori Hesse, Waukon; Barbara Hovland, Mason City; Tamara Scott, Norwalk; and Steve Scheffler, West Des Moines. Members named to the House and Senate Inaugural Committee are: Sen. Annette Sweeney, Alden; Rep. Ashley Hinson, Marion and Rep. Amy Sinclair, Allerton.

“The Iowa Federation heartily congratulates Governor Kim Reynolds and Lieutenant Governor Adam Gregg on this historic occasion,” said Mazza. “We are proud that the first female elected to the office of Governor of Iowa is a member and friend of our organization, but more importantly we are optimistic about the future for all Iowans with Governor Reynolds at the helm.”

“The mission of our organization is simple – “to elect Republicans” – and I want to thank all the IowaFRW members who came together and worked hard to volunteer for the governor’s campaign and GOP candidates up and down the ticket,” Mazza added. “We are proud to share in the GOP successes in last November’s election and we take pride in celebrating this historic inauguration."
