Club Supports First Lady with Screening of "Melania"

Members of the Somerset Forward Republican Women’s Club went to see the movie "Melania" the first night it premiered in our area.

We invited some Republican friends, and one member brought her son who was disappointed to find out he was seeing a movie and not the President and First Lady in person. He persevered though, and we hope to see more of him at our events.

With some members dressing in MAGA garb and inauguration clothing, we proudly went to support the efforts of our great, beautiful, intelligent and inspiring First Lady. Armed with buckets of popcorn and candy, we watched as Melania seamlessly prepared everything for the inauguration and transition of her family from private life back into the public eye.

Her expression of the deep love she has for her mother, and the tremendous sense of loss even one year after her passing, resonated with those of us who also lost our mothers in recent years. Afterward while regrouping in the lobby, a random MAGA Patriot handed club President Francine Gargano a 45/47 pin for having the best outfit of the night.

Needing to fuel up, some of us headed out for some food and to discuss the movie.

All in all, a great time was had by everyone.
