Annual Membership Appreciation BBQ Dinner Draws Record Number of Guests

On July 1, Clark County Republican Women hosted its annual Membership Appreciation BBQ Dinner at President Liz Pike’s home known as Shangri-La Farm in Camas, Washington. The event was the largest in history with more than 120 members and associate members present. Guests enjoyed a complimentary dinner of baked chicken, pasta salad, and spinach/strawberry salad with rolls. Homemade cookies were baked by CCRW members and served for dessert.

Guests also had an opportunity to play bingo with half of the proceeds benefiting Options 360, CCRW’s 2021 Impact Award recipient. Each year CCRW members designate a charitable organization in southwest Washington to support through fundraising. Options 360 is a pro-life clinic that is saving hundreds of babies lives each year through its effective outreach programs to women in crisis pregnancies. Each year, CCRW matches up to $500 in member contributions to the designated Impact Award recipient.

A silent auction featuring everything from homemade cherry pie to original works of art was also held in conjunction with the Membership Appreciation BBQ Dinner with proceeds benefiting Options 360.

“We were thrilled to host so many CCRW members at this annual event,” Pike said. “Our members are what makes CCRW special. And, providing this free event to our loyal members is the very least we can do. Each year, this event seems to get bigger and better." CCRW also invited several right of center candidates running for local non-partisan office and provided an opportunity for candidates to bring their campaign signs and literature and briefly address the membership.
