Club Cares for America at Annual Child Abuse Prevention Fair

On a beautiful spring morning, Central Texas Republican Women sponsored a popular bubble fun activity at the annual Children's Advocacy Center of Central Texas's Child Abuse Prevention Fair. 

The club's Caring for America and Community Engagement teams used our popular "stars and stripes-themed" canopy tent in the Carl Levin Park in Harker Heights. The Child Abuse Prevention Fair had over 500 attendees walk through. Central Texas RW gave goodie bags, snacks, and individual bubbles to each child who came by the tent. As a bonus, three club members are honored to serve on the Board of Directors of the Children's Advocacy Center of Central Texas: President Janet Brown, Caring for America's Kathy Ruiz, and member Andi Wilkey. 

Projects like this are a fun way for our members, especially new members, to create relationships, engage, and serve. Plus, as a bonus, this Caring for America outreach project was a fun way to help raise awareness of child abuse prevention while supporting our community partners' efforts.

Our members are always ready to smile and volunteer, whether in a political activity or engaging, encouraging, and caring for our community.
