Club Welcomes Tim Barton of WallBuilders

On June 21, Jones County Republican Women, proudly affiliated with Iowa Federation of Republican Women, hosted a deeply moving and educational evening featuring Tim Barton, President of WallBuilders, at the beautiful Camp Courageous Durgin Center in Monticello.

Barton’s presentation reaffirmed the core NFRW mission—defending God, faith, and country—through historical truth and patriotic inspiration. Drawing from America’s founding documents, Scripture, and original writings of the Founders, Barton reminded attendees that America’s greatness lies in its moral foundation and unwavering commitment to liberty rooted in faith. His message stirred hearts and called women and families to stand boldly for righteousness and constitutional values in the public square.

The event also spotlighted several distinguished guests and mission-driven organizations. Among them was Mary’s Inn, a nonprofit maternity home offering a safe, faith-filled environment for young pregnant women choosing life. Their presence reminded all in attendance of the sacredness of life and the power of compassion.

Also recognized was Steve Scheffler, President of the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition, a steadfast defender of biblical values in the political arena. His leadership continues to energize and mobilize Christians across Iowa to engage in the civic process with clarity and conviction.

Former Congressman Rod Blum, a longtime advocate for limited government and traditional American values, attended as a special guest. His continued support for constitutional conservatism and his enduring friendship with Republican women were warmly appreciated by attendees.

With a spirit of unity and prayerful determination, this gathering reflected the values at the heart of the NFRW’s mission: to empower women in their communities, educate others on America’s founding principles, and promote policies that protect life, liberty, and the family. It was a night that honored our past, encouraged bold action in the present, and inspired hope for the future.
