Club Honors Literacy Month at September Meeting
Shelby County Republican Women's Club honored Literacy Month at the September 9 meeting. Featured speakers included Donna Gaines with ARISE2Read and Dr. Frederick Tappan, 2026 school board candidate.
Our generous members donated books, books and more books for 1st through 3rd grade students at Germanshire Elementary School. All the books were presented to GES Counselor Jonathan Williams and GES Teacher Keoshia Hudson. It was truly a great day!
And a little known fact: Teacher Keoshla Hudson was at one time a young study of Judy Kilmer, a member of SCRWC. They still stay in touch through all of the years.
