Club Honors Veterans in Parade
Clearwater River Republican Women of Idaho honored veterans as they participated in the Lewiston Veterans Day Parade.
Club members decorated an entry in the parade with symbols of all branches of the military and some veteran names. The club also recognized the upcoming 250th birthday of our military. We used banners and were horored to be able to have a wagon carrying "Spuddy Buddy" Paul "Spud" Revere and his horse.
The Idaho Spud is one of Idaho's icons, so Idaho State Treasurer Julie Elsworth created "Revolutionary Spuds" with the aid of the Idaho Potato Commission. Currently there are eight, with more to be revealed in Boise on July 4, 2026.
