Club Hosts Record Turnout Featuring Pioneering Virtual Address by Michele Bachmann
The Virginia Beach Republican Women’s Club (VBRWC) welcomed more than 120 members and guests to its February meeting, featuring national conservative leader Michele Bachmann as keynote speaker.
Due to unexpected winter weather travel delays, Bachmann was unable to attend in person. Undeterred, VBRWC quickly adapted and successfully streamed her address live to a full audience, marking a pioneering moment for the club as it integrated virtual programming to ensure members could hear directly from a leading national conservative voice.
Bachmann, the first Republican woman elected to Congress from Minnesota, a founding member of the House Tea Party Caucus, and former presidential candidate, delivered an inspiring message grounded in faith, constitutional governance, and the enduring importance of grassroots engagement. Now serving as Dean of the Robertson School of Government at Regent University, she continues to shape and equip the next generation of government and policy leaders.
VBRWC extends its sincere gratitude to Michele Bachmann for her gracious flexibility in joining the club virtually despite travel challenges. Her message and heartfelt closing prayer deeply resonated with attendees and provided a meaningful conclusion to a powerful program.
The event also welcomed distinguished guests, including Victoria Cobb, President of the Family Foundation, and regional Republican leaders. Their presence reflected the growing influence and engagement of VBRWC within Virginia’s conservative movement.
Through record attendance and innovative execution, VBRWC demonstrated that Republican women continue to lead by adapting when necessary, organizing effectively, and advancing the principles of faith, freedom, and constitutional government.
