When SB 444 on cursive writing was not progressing in the Florida Senate, the Florida Federation of Republican Women (FFRW) went into action. The FFRW issued a Call to Action, and our members responded.
In the last two days of the regular Florida legislative session, the Cursive Writing Bill was amended into an education bill and was adopted.
Florida's children will be able to learn how to read and write in cursive and to read their founding documents, all because of the hard work and dedicated efforts of the FFRW in answering the Call to Action, said Kim Black, chair of the FFRW Legislative Committee. Our children and conservative values are worth fighting for.
