Celebrating 45th Anniversary
Chaves County Federated Republican Women, New Mexico, was started in March 1974, making the organization 45 years old. This past April we had a Birthday Party to celebrate the occasion. At that meeting the past Presidents were recognized and the member that had belonged the longest was given a 'birthday' gift.
Every month the club hosts an informative luncheon to better inform its Republican constituents. Between the Membership and Associate Membership, the organization averages over 100 at each monthly meeting.
CCFRW has had numerous fundraisers to support Republican candidates, provide scholarships to local high schcool seniors, and to further a conservative agenda across the state. We take pride when the newspaper refers to us as 'the most powerful political group in Chaves County.'
Every November CCFRW honors Veterans who so bravely served our country with a meal and individual recognition.
The Chaves County Assurance Home benefits from our outreach by treating these young adults on their birthday, Valentine's Day, 4th of July, and Christmas. And, twice a year CCFRW honors a member by donating a book to the Roswell Public Library.
