ALEXANDRIA, Va. – With the selection of U.S. Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate, Joe Biden has bent to the influence of his radical advisors and has sealed his fate as the most progressive, far left presumptive presidential nominee in U.S. history, said Ann Schockett, President of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW).

“Biden claims he would serve only one term if elected, but the majority of Americans think it is unlikely he would even finish those four years, making this vice president selection vitally consequential,” Schockett said. “It is scary that Biden picked a running mate who holds extreme positions, such as comparing law enforcement officials to the KKK, and who lacks the commitment to advancing the interests of our nation and its citizens.”

As a self-avowed “progressive prosecutor,” Harris exacerbates the Biden platform, which is the antithesis of the values of the American people, Schockett said. The Biden-Harris platform is aligned with the dangerous and divisive ideology of the far left and embraces radical objectives such as defunding the police, enacting Green New Deal policies that would kill jobs and the energy sector, granting amnesty to illegal immigrants while providing them with taxpayer-funded healthcare, and dismantling our nation’s economic and political systems.

“As the Biden-Harris team crafts a frighteningly radical manifesto that should send chills down the spines of all Americans, President Trump is leading our Great American Comeback, once again building the greatest economy in the world,” Schockett concluded.

Founded in 1938, the National Federation of Republican Women is the largest grassroots Republican women’s organization in the nation. NFRW provides a forum for women to serve as leaders in the political, government, and civic arenas. NFRW objectives are to recruit, train and elect Republican candidates, promote the principles of the Republican Party, educate the public and protect the integrity of our electoral process.
