From the NFRW Armed Services Committee

The NFRW Armed Services Committee is pleased to announce the 2020-2021 Armed Services Awards program. Awards will be presented at the NFRW's 41st Biennial Convention in September for outstanding club projects in small, medium, large and mega club categories.

The fillable forms for club and state reporting are available at www.nfrw.org/drl-awards. The forms are similar to the Caring for America awards forms, requiring a description of the task, number of hours spent on the project, number of members who participated, collaboration with other organizations, and media showcasing the project. As with other NFRW awards programs, clubs will submit their forms to the state by June 1, and states will submit their forms to national by June 30.

Our goal for Armed Services is to encourage Republican women to take pride in supporting the United States of America's Military (Active Duty, National Guard, Reserves, Veterans, and their families). The military are critical elements in providing and maintaining our democracy and our form of government. They are a defused constituency; they are out there, sometimes not in large numbers; they are often in locations that could make a difference to our political endeavors; and, they do so much for us but are often overlooked as needing assistance or just a “thank you.”

We Republicans care deeply for those who are willing to sacrifice their lives to ensure we remain “The Home of the Free because of the Brave.”

On a separate note, we want you to promote veterans to run for political offices, especially at the Federal level.  We need veterans in Congress! Bonus points will be available if someone in your club ran for any office.

Unsure why I cannot gain access to forms since I am a club president.

As a new member of NFRW and a female veteran, this program is so inspirational and provides a military-connected sense of purpose! Thank you!
