Club Program Features OH Supreme Court Justice Sharon Kennedy, Veterans Advocate Ken Leslie
Wood County Republican Women's Club of Ohio invited Ohio Supreme Court Justice Sharon Kennedy and Ken Leslie, advocate for homeless veterans, to our August meeting at the Perrysburg Senior Center.
We enjoyed hearing how Justice Kennedy is going to WIN the seat of Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court against (Dem) Jennifer Brunner. We were easily entertained by Ken Leslie's humor and wit with how he developed a program to help homeless veterans in Ohio and other states. We also collected items for CASA and PENTA Career Center for students in need of extra food. While we educate women on the politics in our county and state, we also help our community at every turn.
September will see our club at the rededication for the Veteran's Memorial at the Wood County Courthouse. Our club generously donated to the Gold Star rennovations.
