ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Ann Schockett, President of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW), issued the following statement on the Virginia 2021 election:

“On behalf of the National Federation of Republican Women, congratulations to Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin and his history-making team including Lt. Governor-elect Winsome Sears and Attorney-General-elect Jason Miyares.

“Women spoke strongly and decisively with their vote in this election, and the message was a resounding rejection of the Democrats’ woke progressive agenda. Democrats in Washington and throughout the country should take heed: Parents matter, and Independents and even Democrats in Virginia crossed over to help bring sanity back to schools, keep our communities safe, open the economy, and stop runaway inflation.

“NFRW strike forces served on the front lines in this battle for the heart and soul of the USA. From pounding the pavement and poll watching in Virginia to making phone calls from every corner of the country, NFRW members helped ensure victory and safeguard our liberties.”
