Purple Heart Day is observed each year on August 7th as a time for remembering those brave members of our United States military who were wounded on the battlefield or died. The Purple Heart Medal is the oldest medal awarded in the United States Military.

The Coast Guard is unique among our military services. During peace time, it belongs to the Department of Homeland Security but can be transferred to the Department off Defense by the President when operations require their service. Daily, the Coast Guard patrols our coasts for drug smugglers, human trafficking, and both domestic and international terrorism.

Lisa Scheller is a trailblazing engineer and philanthropist whose business acumen and personal experience make her uniquely qualified for Congress. Scheller is the Republican nominee in Pennsylvania's 7th congressional district. Her race is a rematch of the 2020 contest she lost by the narrowest of margins.

With at least three members suffering the loss of homes in the recent flooding in Eastern Kentucky, the Kentucky Federation of Republican Women has been working on flood relief efforts for the Appalachian Region and has set up a PayPal donation page for contributions.

Fresno County & City Republican Women Federated of California hosted a Roaring Twenties Gala with special keynote speaker Larry Elder on July 26. Attendees numbered 150 and guests dressed as their favorite gangster, silent movie star or flapper.
