Dear Friends,

At the National Federation of Republican Women, the health and well-being of our members is of the highest importance. The NFRW Executive Committee and I have been closely monitoring the situation regarding COVID-19, and listened carefully to the President’s speech on Wednesday evening. Last night, after consulting with the Executive Committee and Headquarters staff, I made the difficult but necessary decision that the NFRW Spring Board of Directors Meeting and Legislative Advocacy Day on the Hill as originally called for March 26-28 are cancelled.

It is disappointing not to be able to go forward with these events at this time. Your national officers, committees and staff have been working hard with me in preparation for months, and we had top-level speakers confirmed and exciting programs planned. On the positive side, this cancellation of our on-site meeting in Virginia opens options for the NFRW to demonstrate new technology, which will allow us to ‘social distance’ as recommended by the President while continuing to move ahead and conduct our business.

We will be following up with information regarding alternative meeting plans. As we work through the details, we felt it was important to let you know as quickly as possible that the on-site meeting will not take place on March 26-28. For those who registered for the Spring Board Meeting and/or Legislative Advocacy Day on the Hill, you will receive an additional email concerning refunds over the next few days from events@nfrw.org.
