Club Honors Our Military While Helping Teach Our Youth Valuable Life Lessons

In honor of National Armed Forces Day, South Dakota Republican Women in Cyberspace put together a very special Caring for America project to support our troops: Military Appreciation Coloring Cards for Kids!

We created easy-to-color templates for young kids as well as more intricate designs for older kids. Then we invited our membership to have the kids and/or grandkids in their lives color cards and sign them with their ages and first names. The project was designed to achieve multiple goals at once: express our appreciation to our servicemen and women while, in a fun way, imparting to our youth both the need and the opportunity to be grateful to our military.

President Catherine Barranco had the honor of presenting the cards to South Dakota's Adjutant General, Major General Jeff Marlette, for distribution to South Dakota deployed airmen and women.
