On July 27, the Korean War Veterans Memorial Foundation will commemorate the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Korean Armistice Agreement. This historic event will take place at the Korean War Veterans Memorial and will honor those who served in the Korean War to defend democracy and the people of South Korea.

As we celebrate our national independence with fireworks, parades, and yummy food, we must understand that “freedom is never free.” We must be vigilant through all generations at a cost of time and energy.
